RadioMan® is, by nature, a multi-channel system so that you can manage the schedules for multiple channels, studios, groups, and recorders from the same view. In addition, it allows different views for program schedules for people in different roles.

You can design the program details with a Playlist planning tool that can be opened from the Day Planning window or directly.
You can insert items into playlists by dragging and dropping them from the Search window or selecting “Insert…” or “Replace…” actions from the Search function’s pop-up menu. Items can also be copied from one playlist to another by drag and drop.
Depending on the media type, a versatile set of search fields are available. These include metadata fields such as album name, artist/person, tags, keywords, memo text, classifications, and roles. Specific search criteria can be saved with a descriptive name and re-selected for searches from the title row of the search criteria window. In addition, search criteria can be saved as personal, user’s groups, or public to everyone.
Radioman also includes a quick search for simple search tasks and an advanced search for more detailed searches. The quick search window allows you to manage media objects in the system, insert them into programmes, and prelisten them.
One specific search tab is the latest arrivals. Latest arrivals contains a list of the newest updates or creations of media objects to the RadioMan system – music, audio, script, programmes, and spots – 20 of each.
The same playlist can be opened on multiple playlist designs simultaneously. The playlist can be opened simultaneously also on playlist design and on-air application. The studio runs the on-air and at the same time, journalists can still work with the rest of the show, adjust levels, and control item placements. As all the tools are browser-based, this can also be done remotely.
Day planning allows different views for programme schedules for people in various roles. The views available are a monthly managerial overview, a producer-type weekly view, and a more detailed daily view that can even be displayed with the programme contents for actual programme production.
Program scheduling enables diverse content creation directly in playlist planning – music selection, spots, audio, and scripts. It also allows long-term planning for media publishing, distributions, and recordings.
You can also schedule content to multiple channels in a single system, e.g., “loaning”, and schedule placeholders for external 3rd party content for incoming audio feed, e.g., TV audio.
RadioMan differentiates between timeslots and programs. That means content of a particular program can be made at different times by different users. It is possible to create the timeslots earlier and attach the actual journalistic program contents to them later.
You can edit program contents (playlist) can be edited in the same view for several daily programs.
The program database is multi-channel, so you can plan multiple parallel channels on the same database. Program timeslots on a certain channel can also be loaned to other channels. This is useful on multi-site regional systems where regional channels follow part-time the national program and part-time local.
